After you’ve become aware that you’re unaware, conscious of being unconscious, and you’d like to stay conscious more (or most, or all) of the time, the simplest way to do it is by starting with the Conscious Breath.

You know about the physics experiment, with the particles that are having a what seems to be chaotic behavior when they are unwatched and then follow a certain path, the moment there is an observer? Well, the same is with your life.
Your life is happening and you’re not conscious, you’re not present, you’re not observing it.
You’re lost in the stories. Which is not a bad thing, as there are no good or bad things. It’s just an experience. But is it an experience that you want? An experience that you chose? Are you happy with your story? Do you feel stuck in your story? Or do you want to create a new one?
We are the stories that we tell ourselves.
The moment you become conscious of the story… (like in the experiment, the moment there is an observant) You can change the story.
